Welcome to Castle Cottage
At Castle Cottage we aim to provide comfortable accomodation in the relaxed surroundings of our family home. Castle Cottage is located in the village of Ayton in the Scottish Borders, close to Eyemouth, St Abbs and Berwick-upon-Tweed within easy access of the A1 trunk road.
Castle Cottage offers an ideal base for exploring the spectacular Berwickshire and Northumberland coastline and the historic towns of the Border Country. We are
also well situated for travellers seeking a break in their journey across the border.
For those guests with an interest in outdoor pursuits, particularly divers and cyclists, we can offer washing, drying and secure storage facilities for rigs and cycles.
Castle Cottage is within easy reach of a wide range of dives sites along the Berwickshire coast, including St Abbs Voluntary Marine Reserve. As divers ourselves, we are happy to provide guests with information on local dive sites, equipment and boat charters.
Information is also available about the variety of routes and trails for cycling and mountain-biking in the Borders, in fact the Coast and Castles route passes our front door.
